Urinary tract infections are the bane of women (and some men!) everywhere. If you’ve ever had one, you understand the horrifying feeling of urgently having to pee and not being able to, of weird-smelling or cloudy urine and a painful burning sensation while you go.
And if you haven’t had one, you’re just plain lucky. Because women’s urethras are shorter and located closer to the anus, it’s much easier for bacteria to travel to the bladder, putting women at a much higher risk for developing infections. More than half of women will experience a UTI in their lifetimes, and many will have recurrences. In fact, besides the cold and flu, urinary tract infections are the most common health complaint among reproductive-aged women.
We understand that diagnosing UTIs can be a pain, and other conditions — such as painful bladder syndrome, passing a kidney stone and sexually transmitted infections — can have similar symptoms. So here’s a handy chart to determine whether you should head to the doctor’s office immediately:
We finally know why Mystique is so blue. It’s the Internet’s fault.
The new “X-Men: Apocalypse” trailer hit the Web on Thursday, showing new footage, more glimpses of Apocalypse in action and more Jennifer Lawrence. A Jewelry Show in Hong Kong this March offered clear signs of the downshift in demand in China, the top buyer after the U.S.
To commemorate one year of The Late Late Show, James Corden wanted to do something memorable. It’s hard to top the antics that have already gone down on the show, but on Wednesday night, James had an idea that blew everything else out of the water: hosting the entire show in a stranger’s house just a few blocks from the studio.
LONDON — British trip hop pioneers Massive Attack have unveiled visuals for their brand new track "Ritual Spirit".
A strong collaboration between the group and newcomer Azekel, the video, released Thursday, centres around supermodel Kate Moss.
Dancing in the dark, lighting herself with a naked lightbulb, Moss captures the essence of the track, which was produced and co-written by 3D and Euan Dickinson. To give the video a "raw" feel there were no retouches done to it.
