After enjoying one of the best years of his already-decorated career in 2015 thanks to his work on Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy-winning To Pimp a Butterfly, Terrace Martin is ready to put out his own message into the world next month with the release of his new album,Velvet Portraits. We’ve already sampled one slice of the project with the groovy “Valdez Off Crenshaw,” which debuted on Beats 1 earlier this year. And for the second single, “Think of You,” Terrace reunites with fellow TPAB contributor Kamasi Washington while spotlighting the stunning vocals of Rose Gold.
Velvet Portraits drops April 1 via Terrace’s own Ropeadope Records. Pre-order the album here.
