French Montana Talks Kanye West, Drake vs. Meek Mill & More On ‘Larry King Now’
French Montana sat down with the OG Larry King for a lengthy interview on yesterday’s episode of Larry King Now. The guys discussed everything from French’s upcoming albumMac & Cheese 4, his on-off relationship with Khloe Kardashian, Donald Trump’s comments about Muslims and the beef between Drake and Meek Mill (“I don’t believe they have real problems. It’s like a sport. It’s like a competition. Sometimes you spar with somebody because nobody gets hurt. It’s just part of the game. It brings excitement to the game”).
Kanye West’s name was also brought up quite a few times during the conversation as Larry quizzed French about Ye’s supposed mental health crisis, his recent feud with Taylor Swiftand the controversy surrounding his short-lived album title, WAVES.
A friend of mine–his name is Max B, he’s incarcerated right now, doing 75 years–and “waves” was his thing. That was how everybody knew him. His name was Silver Surfer. So, I just feel like a lot of the people that followed the movement kind of took offense to that because, you know, it looked like he just took his whole style, which he actually didn’t know about Max B, you know, so when I spoke to him now I gave him all the info, you know, about Max B. Max B ended up on Kanye’s album.…Yeah, but he changed it to ‘The Life of Pablo,’ but he still put Max B on the album ’cause he’s got another song called “Waves.”
