black milk 2016
After keeping a low profile throughout 2015, Black Milk is back with a new album this April. The Detroit native has announced The Rebellion Sessions, a live instrumental LP in collaboration with his live band Nat Turner.
“This project came together from Nat Turner and I deciding to meet up, lock ourselves in a room for one week, and hope that some musical gems could be created in that short amount of time,” Milk told The FADER. “Most of the album is a fusion of jazz and funk orchestrated from a hip-hop producer’s standpoint.”
Along with the announcement, Black Milk has dropped a non-album cut called “The Rebel” that adds to his solid collection of 2016 loosies (see: “Like I Need It All” and “For 4ever“).The Rebellion Sessions drops April 4 and is available to pre-order on iTunes.
