All eyes were tuned into ABC on Friday night, as Bruce Jenner’s long-awaited interview with Diane Sawyer finally aired. In the two-hour special, the 1976 Olympic gold medalist decathlete a came out as transgender, acknowledging that for his whole life he identified himself as a woman.

At one point during the emotional sit down, Sawyer spoke with four of Jenner’s six biological kids (Burt, Cassandra, Brandon, Brody) from his three marriages. Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Bruce’s last two children, did not appear on the special, neither did any of his four step children — Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob Kardashian.

While none of the more famous Jenner-Kardashian members appeared during the special, the 65-year-old did reveal during one segment how Kim Kardashian eventually embraced his transformation, being the most accepting of all his children.

Bruce: Kim told me a story. She goes, “you know what really turned me around on thinking about this?” I said, “what?” She goes, “Kanye.” I went, oh, okay. They were talking about it. And he says to Kim, “Look, I can be married to the most beautiful woman in the world. And I am. I can have the most beautiful little daughter in the world. I have that. But I’m nothing if I can’t be me. If I can’t be true to myself. They don’t mean anything.”

Diane Sawyer: From Kanye.

Bruce: From Kanye. Yeah, yeah. And since then, Kimberly has Been by far the most accepting. And the easiest to talk to about it.
