Bruno Mars & Red Hot Chili Peppers Perform at Super Bowl XLVIII’s Halftime Show
All eyes were on Bruno Mars, who was this year’s Pepsi Super Bowl XLVIII Halftime Show performer. The Grammy Award-winning singer tore down MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey with an electric performance. Mars kicked off halftime with fiery drum solo, segueing into the No.1-hit “Locked Out of Heaven.” The singer continued into chart-topper “Billionaire” before adding some electro flavor with Baauer’s “Harlem Shake.” Bruno continued into “Treasure” and “Runaway Baby,” before special guests Red Hot Chili Peppers stormed the stage.
The legendary rock group took the packed crowd to another level with their classic “Give It Away Now!,” before Mars closed out with a touching moment as members of the military gave long-distance dedications before “Just the Way You Are.” Immediately following the unforgettable show, artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Josh Groban, Ariana Grande, ScHoolboy Q, Raekwon, and Leona Lewis tweeted their support.
