With a day off his Yeezus” tour, Kanye West took in arts culture during Art Basel 2013 in Miami on Wednesday. With wife-to-be Kim Kardashian by his side, Kanye appeared at the Delano Beach Club for DuJour Magazine’s event honoring artist Marc Quinn. The couple posed for pictures and mingled with those in attendance, including Lionel Richie, and Angela Simmons. Earlier in the evening, Kanye appeared at Surface Magazine’s DesignDialogues No. 6 event, participating in a live chat alongside Hans Ulrich Obrist, and architect Jacques Herzog. During the discussion, Kanye revealed his next album will be 8-songs long.
“I think my next album is going to be eight songs. It’s just reducing down the amount of information that you need. People say a design is the point where you can’t take anything else away. [Yeezus] was very, very designed. I took a departure from radio and popular music in order to get this seat here. If I hadn’t made Yeezus, I wouldn’t be sitting here with this cool font at Basel right here.”
