Flume
21-year-old Flume may be one of Australia’s most exciting electronic producers, but he’s got his ear to the streets when it comes to hip-hop. As part of a four-disc deluxe edition re-release of his self-titled debut album, Flume is putting out The Mixtape, a side project that stars some of rap’s most seasoned vets and promising newcomers alike, including Killer Mike, M.O.P., Freddie Gibbs, Stalley and Boldy James.
It definitely promises exciting results on paper, and our suspicions are confirmed on “Space Cadet,” a collaboration between Flume, Ghostface Killah and singer Autre Ne Veut. Like the title suggests, this is a journey into the unknown musical territory. But then you remember that Tony Starks’ sharp rhymes can mesh with almost any genre.
Stream “Space Cadet,” plus Flume’s collaborations with Stalley and Freddie Gibbs, after the jump…
