Channing Tatum Announces Exciting Oscar Opportunity On "Ellen"
Attending Friday’s (November 15) episode of the “ Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Hollywood hotshot Channing Tatum discussed new movie “22 Jump Street, new daughter Everly, and revealed an exciting announcement regarding The Oscars.
The 35-year-old came onto the stage, except on a TV screen to the chagrin of his screaming fans. In charming fashion, Ellen also asked if Channing had any plans to follow up “Magic Mike” with a sexy sequel. With a laugh, he said it is for-sure in the works, and that he and his producer would begin writing and filming a year from now.
“22 Jump Street” comes at us from the first flick’s famed director, Phil Lord, and premieres in the United States on June 13th, 2014.
According to the synopsis, “After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt and Jenko when they go deep undercover at a local college.”
In addition, Tatum announced that college students over the age of 18 can make 60-second videos about how they're going to contribute to the future of film. The contest starts today and ends in January, when Channing will make another appearance on DeGeneres' daytime talker to announce the winners.
